Ah Lily Allen. Not content with being a not-very-talented all rounder, the B-list daughter has gathered up a few quote-unquote “fellow artists” to have a pop at file sharers.
Coming hot on the heels of the Featured Artist’s Coalition announcement that file sharer’s should not be punished, Lily has resorted to her fave medium and ours – the blog – to voice her concerns, and it seems she’s not alone, with heavyweight “talent” like Gary Barlow and James Blunt backing her up.
“Lily is our leader” says blandest man in the world, Blunt; “She’s asking British musicians to galvanise over a serious crime: the death of a Great British industry – our music business”.
DT is of the opinion that awful music produced by talentless simpletons, and sold to spoon-fed X-Factor fans may be more of a problem, but what do we know? Lily, who has already decided to quit music in favour of a stage career may have a point, or she may just enjoy the headlines.
According to one of them out of Radiohead “It’s going to start a war they cannot win”. Is he right? Or can Ms.Allen overcome this -and looking an awful lot like her dad – and emerge triumphant?
