Bono Vs File Sharers

bonoHigh Lord of the Kingdom Of Smug Twattery Bono has called for stricter controls over file sharers. Not just a little ‘errr…can you file share less please?’ kind of call, but a full on, let’s follow China’s example on Internet control and track what everyone is doing kind of control. The absolute spanner.

“The only thing protecting the movie and TV industries from the fate that has befallen music and indeed the newspaper business is the size of the files”

The fate that befell music was that people can listen to more, for less and support the artists who deserve it, rather than being spoonfed a diet of crapcakes (well, if they want to, X Factor is still pretty popular)

Every comment and opionion piece I’ve seen on this has been anti-Bono, so why is he still an important figure? Can we please make him go away? (and yes, I understand the irony of calling for him to disappear in a piece about him)

Anyway. My Christmas and New Year addled head cannot come up with any kind of coherent argument here. So.

BONO IS A TWAT. NAR NAR NAR.
